Man arrested over double shooting
A 20-year-old man has been arrested by police over the shooting of two men on a housing estate in Lancashire.

The pair, aged 26 and 28, received pellet wounds to the face and chest in the incident early on Saturday on Preston's Callon estate.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Lancashire police said the arrested man was being held at Preston police station and was due to be questioned by officers.

Det Supt Kevin Toole said: "I have been particularly pleased with the reaction of residents living on the Callon estate who have provided valuable information."

Increased police patrols will remain on the estate as the investigation continues.

CCTV is also being studied by police, who are appealing for witnesses to the shootings to come forward.
