Fire service's Hajj safety advice

Some 25,000 British Muslims are among the worshippers
Travellers to Mecca from among Lancashire's 70,000 Muslims are being offered advice on how to stay safe during the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

The county's fire service says this year sees the 10th anniversary of the fire at Mina which killed 345 pilgrims.

Fire officials are urging pilgrims to be aware of the dangers of cooking in tents and to know fire escape plans.

They also draw attention to the need to stay safe and avoid crushes. Pilgrims have been killed in stampedes.
