Motorcyclist crash victim named

A 26-year-old motorcyclist who died after a crash in Lancashire has been named by police.

Daniel Dawson was riding his Honda motorbike on Euxton Lane towards Euxton when the motorbike apparently lost control at a bend in the road.

Emergency services were called and he was taken to hospital where he died soon afterwards on Friday evening.

Police would like to speak to a woman who was driving a white car who may have seen the man before the crash.

Detectives said she may have been overtaken by the motorcycle prior to the incident.
