Man questioned after carjacking

A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a driver was threatened before having his car stolen in Preston.

The driver was threatened with a small sword or machete by a man who then stole his car on Tonbridge Street before driving off on Wednesday.

The car was spotted by police officers shortly afterwards and following a chase involving the police helicopter the man was arrested.

The offender, who is from the Preston area, is being questioned by police.
