Wildlife hut destroyed by arson
Arsonists have destroyed an education centre used by children in Lancashire.

The large wooden purpose-built hut at the Environment Education Centre in Howick Cross Lane, Penwortham, was targeted at the weekend.

The hut, which is in private grounds, was shaped as a Viking long hut and was used for wildlife education.

Police are urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity to come forward. Det Sgt John Cass said: "We are treating this incident as arson."
