Spate of sex attacks investigated
Six women have been indecently assaulted in separate attacks which police believe are linked.

The women, aged between 15 and 49, were all assaulted on Monday in the Walton-le-Dale and Bamber Bridge areas of Lancashire.

Officers said the incidents happened between 1200 and 1800 GMT.

Detectives are hunting for a man described as being in his 20s, white, about 6ft (1.83m) tall, with cropped hair and defined cheekbones.

Four of the indecent assaults took place in the Bamber Bridge area on Wesley Street, Station Road, Barn Meadow and Brindle Road.

Two others occurred in Walton le Dale - on Hampshire Road and Knot Lane.

Det Insp Steve Ashurst, from Lancashire Constabulary said the women were shaken by the attacks but otherwise unhurt.

He said: "We are treating these incidents as being linked and would like to hear from anyone that may have witnessed any of them or who may know who the offender is."
