Man trapped by farm trailer dies

A 42-year-old man has died after being trapped under a trailer at a farm in Lancashire.

William Prescott died in the incident at Salthouse Farm on Moss Lane in Burscough on Tuesday afternoon.

Ambulance crews were called to reports a man was trapped under a trailer but by the time they arrived he had died.

Lancashire police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have opened a joint investigation into the cause of his death.
