Teenager named in murder inquiry

David Woods was beaten to death
A court in Lancashire has lifted an order protecting the identity of one of the two teenagers accused of beating a 51-year-old man to death.

Denham Wayne Yates, 18, and a 17-year-old youth, both from Preston, are charged with the murder of David Woods on 13 October.

Mr Woods, of Moor Lane in Preston, was attacked in the grounds of the University of Central Lancashire.

Both were remanded in custody by Preston Crown court until February.
