Six arrests in drug supply raids
Six people have been arrested in raids by police targeting drug dealing in East Lancashire.

Seven addresses in the Accrington, Blackburn, Helmshore and Oswaldtwistle areas were searched by officers early on Tuesday.

Heroin, cash and a Mercedes car were seized during the raids, which were part of Operation Nimrod.

The six people arrested were due to be questioned by Lancashire police on suspicion of supplying drugs.

A spokeswoman for Lancashire police said search teams, including drug sniffer dogs, were sent into the homes.

Operation Nimrod began in 2002 in Lancashire, targeting drug crime.
