An initiative giving information and support to help businesses provide a healthier lifestyle for employees is being launched in Lancashire.
Developing anti-smoking policies at work is one of the initiatives
Fylde Borough Council and Fylde Primary Care Trust are teaming up to improve the wellbeing of local people at work.
The "Choosing Health at Work initiative" will be launched on Tuesday at Fylde Rugby Club.
It focuses on tobacco control, alcohol harm reduction, slips, trips and falls, and stress and mental well-being.
Councillor Patricia Fieldhouse said: "People spend more than a third of their waking hours at work, so we might as well try and make that time as healthy and productive as possible.
"It's not just employees who benefit from a healthy workplace. By choosing health at work, businesses can reduce staff absence, lower staff turnover, and increase motivation and productivity."
