The Fleetwood boardwalk is a landmark for sailors and tourists

A Lancashire pier failed to reach its reserve price when it went under the hammer on Wednesday.
Fleetwood Pier, currently let by Benny Vista Leisure Ltd, was put up for sale at auction with a £1.3m price tag.
The pier was built in 1906 and has five bars, a nightclub, a fish and chip shop and a 100m (328ft) jetty that reaches into the Wyre estuary.
A spokesman for London-based auction house Allsop and Co had said it was a "challenging lot."
Benny Vista Leisure Ltd had intended to keep their lease when the pier was sold.
Although smaller than the piers in neighbouring Blackpool, the Fleetwood boardwalk is a landmark for sailors and tourists in the area.
