A man was stabbed in the chest and several other people were injured in a disturbance at a Lancashire nightclub.
The 32-year-old was found with a stab wound outside the XS nightclub on Hammerton Street in Burnley by police early on Sunday.
A man, 21, had a serious neck wound and a third suffered a head cut. Several others had minor cuts and bruises.
One person was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. Police investigating the trouble have sealed off the area.
Restore order
Police said the incident appeared to have arisen from a dispute inside the club between two groups, though details were still sketchy on Sunday.
They said that several hundred people had been in the vicinity of the club and patrols from a large part of east Lancashire were deployed to restore order.
The casualties were taken to Burnley Hospital. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
The nightclub and the street outside were closed on Sunday while police investigated the incident.
