Moving picture show back in town
Anthony Bamber
Anthony Bamber's mobile cinema uses a 35mm projector
A Lancashire businessman is taking Hollywood blockbusters on the road with his mobile cinema.

Anthony Bamber takes the big screen to anywhere from village halls to towns where the local cinema has closed down.

Many community groups and schools have booked Mr Bamber for fundraising events.

Demand has rocketed since Mr Bamber quit his job with an animal feed firm last year and set up his venture, Community Cinemas Ltd.

It takes a giant screen on the road complete with 35mm projector to show movies such as King Kong on offer at a multiplex with the same picture quality and Dolby surround sound.

"It means I have to speak directly with people like 20th Century Fox and Disney to get the latest releases - all they are worried about is whether we have somewhere to show the films," said Mr Bamber, from Grimsargh, Lancashire.

"We are a business but we are also providing a community service," he added.
