Man hit by two cars on motorway
A man is seriously ill in hospital after he was hit by two cars on the M65 motorway in Lancashire.

Police are trying to establish whether the man was trying to cross the eastbound carriageway when the accident happened on Wednesday morning.

The motorway was closed eastbound between junctions 10 and 11 in East Lancashire, but has since reopened.

The man has been taken to Burnley General Hospital with serious injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses.
