Searches fail to find pensioner
James Dowsett
Mr Dowsett suffers from dementia
Moorland searches have failed to find a pensioner who was reported missing from a care home at the weekend.

James Dowsett, 65, from Crystal Hall, Whittingham Lane, Preston, suffers from dementia and police say he could be in danger without his medication.

Police dogs and the Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue team searched the Whittingham and Goosnargh areas on Tuesday, but failed to find him.

Mr Dowsett is white, about 5ft 10in and slim with collar-length grey wavy hair.

He was last seen wearing casual dark-coloured trousers and a long-sleeved pale orange shirt and glasses.

Detectives say Mr Dowsett may be in a confused state.
