Police hunting a gang who stole televisions and computer screens worth £500,000 are trying to trace three lorries which they may have used.

About 250 plasma TVs and 10 computer systems were stolen from FDC holdings in Chorley, Lancashire, on Saturday.

Detectives say three white lorries were seen nearby at about 7pm travelling "extremely close" to each other.

Anyone with information about the lorry cabs which were used is asked to contact Lancashire Police.

The gang also stole the lorry trailers as well as the Tiny electrical equipment.

'Get in touch'

They also threatened and kidnapped a security guard from the industrial estate in Cowling Lane before dumping him in Anderton at about 10pm.

Det Insp Brian Quinn said: "We have already received calls from members of the public who have sighted the trailers, but we would now like to hear from anyone who might recognise the tractor units that were pulling the trailers.

"If anyone recognises these units we would like to hear from you.

"Also, if someone has been approached to buy on the TVs or computer systems, please get in touch."
