Seven arrested in football raids

Preston and Leeds play again on Saturday at Deepdale

Police in Lancashire have arrested seven people in connection with football-related disorder.

Officers targeted homes in Preston and Leyland in the raids, early on Wednesday morning.

It follows an investigation into incidents of violent disorder in Leeds city centre after Preston North End played at Leeds United on 16 October.

Lancashire Police said that seven people are to be questioned, and further arrests may follow.

Preston play the return game against Leeds at Deepdale on Saturday.
