More than 1,000 people have attended the funeral of former Blackpool Pleasure Beach boss Geoffrey Thompson.
Geoffrey Thompson OBE and his 101-year-old mother Doris
Mr Thompson OBE died at the age of 67, after he was taken to hospital from a private family function at the park's Paradise Room on Saturday, 13 June.
Civic leaders and showbusiness stars attended the service at Holy Trinity Church, South Shore, Blackpool.
Sid Little, Jeremy Beadle and Frank Carson were among those who paid their last respects.
Unfortunately Mr Thompson's 101-year-old mother Doris was too ill to attend.
Theme park bosses from around the world also paid their respects.
Pleasure Beach staff lined the streets as the horse-drawn funeral cortège passed through Blackpool.
The service heard a succession of friends pay warm tribute to his jovial nature.
Mr Thompson took control of the park in 1976 after the death of his father, Leonard, who had replaced his father-in-law and the park's founder, William George Bean.
