A series of events in Lancashire aims to dispel the myths surrounding the Islamic faith.
The Preston True Colours of Islam Project aims to encourage non-Muslims to attend mosques and speak to the Muslim community about their religion.
The events, which will last a week, have been organised by the Preston Imams-Police Forum.
They aim to tackle issues including women's rights, culture and Islam's contribution to the city's community.

Pc Julian Andrews, of Lancashire Police's Minorities team, said: "The aim of the week is to introduce non-Muslims to the true nature of Islam by exploring and dispelling some of the myths that surround it."
Three of Preston's mosques will be holding open evenings next week where people can watch prayers, with an English translation.
The events will conclude with a seminar at the city's Canterbury Hall where people can raise questions with leading members of the Muslim community.
Pc Andrews added: "We hope that many non-Muslims will take this unique opportunity to have their questions answered and have any worries or concerns addressed.
"Preston has a history of mutual respect between its diverse communities and all the organisations are working together to ensure that religious and racial tolerance remains a proud feature of our city."
