Lancashire home for Eric's roller
Eric Morecambe's Rolls-Royce car, which sold at auction in December for 36,000 has found a permanent new home.

A mystery bidder purchased the 1974 Silver Shadow - which still has the Lancashire comedian's personalised number plate EM 100.

It has emerged it will being kept at an address in the county and used for charity work and for event hire.

The comedian's widow, Joan, finally put the car up for sale after earlier saying she could not part with it.

The immaculate 1974 chocolate-brown car came complete with Eric's eight-track stereo and favourite tapes.

The cost of the car is believed to have been shared between three private buyers.
