Disabled residents are to get help adapting their homes
Disabled residents in Lancashire are to get a share of £4m to help them adapt their homes.

The money will be divided between 14 local authorities in the county with the aim of helping people with special needs to continue living independently.

The Disabled Facilities Grant will allow those eligible to make essential adaptations to their homes.

This is likely to include changes such as ramps, chair-lifts and special level access showers.

Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool and Burnley will all receive around half a million pounds.

Smaller amounts will be available to the other Lancashire authorities.
