Schoolboy found dead at home

A 15-year-old boy found dead at his Lancashire home has been named.

Ryan Ireland, a pupil at Skerton Community High School, was found dead in Sycamore Grove, Lancaster, in the early hours of Monday.

A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and police are waiting for the results of a toxicology test to find out if his death was drug-related.

Detectives have questioned members of Ryan's family to try to find out more about his last movements.

A spokesman for Skerton High School said they were very shocked at his death and the school would be doing all it could to support Ryan's family.
