Chatham woman's murder charge dropped by police

A murder charge against a woman accused of stabbing a man in Chatham has been dropped.

Kim Albone, 39, of Luton Road, Chatham, will no longer face charges of killing Antoine Denis.

The body of Mr Denis, 66, was discovered inside a flat at Copperfield House, New Road, on 9 January. He died of a single stab wound.

Kent Police said the charge against Ms Albone was dropped following a decision with the Crown Prosecution Service.

Ms Albone had been remanded in custody charged with murder since 22 January.

Kent Police said no one else has been charged with Mr Denis' murder and appealed for further information.
