Father killed in crash is named

Vaughan Lambird had two teenage children

A father-of-two who was killed in a collision between two cars in Medway has been identified by police.

Vaughan Lambird, 50, of Gillingham, died when his Nissan 200SX was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra in Upchat Road, Chattenden, on Friday.

He leaves behind a 15-year-old daughter and 17-year-old son.

Mr Lambird's daughter and another 15-year-old girl who were passengers in the Nissan 200SX, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 56-year-old man who was driving the Vauxhall Astra was given treatment for a suspected broken ankle.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash at 1510 GMT.
