Driver dies in crash near surgery

An elderly driver died when the car she was driving crashed into a stationary vehicle in Kent.

The crash happened near the Russell House doctors' surgery in the Barleys Meadow area of Westerham.

Kent Police said the 84-year-old woman's Citroen C3 car had struck a parked Mitsubishi Space Wagon at 1050 GMT.

Her death was confirmed at the scene. The area around the surgery was closed off while emergency services attended.
