Hollie McKie
The family of Hollie McKie said she was dearly loved

Tributes have been paid to a teenager who died in a road crash involving two vehicles in Kent.

The family of Hollie McKie, 19, of Mabledon Road, Tonbridge, described her as "a sweet-natured, kind girl" who was "always willing to help".

Miss McKie was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Longfield Road, Tunbridge Wells, on 9 July.

Her parents Julia and Bob McKie and brother Mark said they would always remember her lovely smile.

Ms McKie recently enrolled at West Kent College and had hoped to become a community care assistant following her studies, they said.

'Engaging personality'

In a statement released through Kent Police, her family said: "Hollie was a sweet-natured, kind girl who would always be more than willing to help her friends and family.

"Her quiet, decisive manner was reassuringly welcomed by all who knew her.

"Her passing is a tragedy heavily borne by her boyfriend whose company she so enjoyed on their travels; by her many friends whom she loved so dearly and shared so many fun times with, and by her parents and close family who loved her dearly and will never forget her lovely smile and engaging personality."

An inquest into Ms McKie's death has been opened and adjourned.
