Man pleads guilty to GBH charge

A man has pleaded guilty to a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent over an assault in Kent which left a 41-year-old man critically ill.

James Brown, 37, of Portland Road, Gillingham, admitted the charge at a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court.

Sentencing was adjourned until 7 August at the same court.

The victim of the attack was treated for head injuries in a London hospital after the incident in Sturdee Avenue, Gillingham, on 12 April.
