Two 18-year-olds were killed in a fire at the same property in 2003

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a house in Kent where two teenagers died in an arson attack six years ago. Crews called to a row of eight terraced houses in Grosvenor Place, Margate, in the early hours, found the house in the centre of the block well alight. Four others were damaged, but crews said the fire had been prevented from spreading further. No-one was injured. David Slater and James Mullins, both 18, died in a fire in a third-floor flat at the property on 26 July 2003. William Bull, 17, of Setterfield Road, Margate, was jailed for life after being found guilty of two counts of murder and grievous bodily harm with intent at a trial the following year. Daniel Parry, 21, of Approach Road, Margate, was jailed for 13 years for two counts of manslaughter. Structural collapse Fourteen residents had to be moved from their homes after Sunday's fire which started just after 0200 BST. The Red Cross Victim Support Unit said it had taken those affected to a welfare centre. Kent Fire and Rescue said the fire had led to a partial structural collapse in the property in which the blaze started. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is known the house had been left empty since the deaths of the two teenagers, and that it had been undergoing renovation.
