James Taylor's body was discovered at a house in New Ash Green
A mother accused of murdering her 11-year-old son at their home in Kent will face trial next June.
Jennifer Taylor, 44, appeared at a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday.
The body of grammar school pupil James was found at the house in Knights Croft, New Ash Green, near Dartford, on 2 December.
A trial, expected to last for three weeks, is due to start on 8 June. Ms Taylor was remanded in custody.
A further date for a plea and case management hearing was set for 16 March.
A post-mortem examination was carried out but further tests were needed to determine the cause of death, Kent Police have said.
The boy's father, who lives outside the UK, has been informed of his death.
