Pubs, restaurants and taxi drivers in a Kent town are being equipped with a new tool to help detect counterfeit notes over the Christmas period.
Five hundred ultraviolet light key rings, which can detect fake £5, £10 and £20 notes, will be handed out by the Sevenoaks Safety Partnership.
Councillor Keith Loney said: "We are lucky in that forged notes are not much of a problem within the district.
"But these key rings will give peace of mind to licensees and taxi drivers."
