Motorist injured in A20 accident

A motorist has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after an accident on the A20 in Kent.

Police said one car collided with another which was stationary in traffic on the London-bound carriageway at the Swanley interchange at about 0315 GMT.

The area between junction 3 for the M25 and the A223 Cray Road, around Crittals Corner, was closed for nine hours.

London-bound traffic on the M20 was also afffected, with vehicles diverted off on to the Swanley interchange.
