A crewman has been airlifted to hospital after he was seriously hurt on board a ferry in the English Channel.

The man suffered severe head and neck injuries when he was caught in a set of watertight doors.

The accident happened aboard the Eurovoyager ferry as it approached the Kent port of Ramsgate from Ostend just before 1100 GMT.
