A police station building is to be renamed in honour of a Kent Police traffic officer who died during a hit-and-run incident.
Pc Jon Odell, 30, was killed by a motorist who refused to stop at a roadside speed check in Margate.
The main building at Margate Police Station will be called Odell House as a tribute to the officer, who died from internal injuries in 2000.
A man was jailed for nine years after admitting manslaughter in 2001.
Sgt Hugh Quigley will unveil a plaque on behalf of Pc Odell's family following a speech by Assistant Chief Constable Beautridge on Tuesday 28 October.
