Men charged after girl is stabbed

Two men have been charged after a 16-year-old girl was wounded in the neck in a stabbing incident in north Kent.

Matthew Godden, 28, is charged with assault, causing actual bodily harm and causing grievous bodily harm.

Michael Godden, 24, is charged with common assault. Both men live in Preston Road, Northfleet.

The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment to non-life threatening wounds after the incident in Park Avenue, Northfleet, on Thursday night.

The defendants, who were arrested shortly afterwards, were due to appear before Medway magistrates on Saturday.
