Man in court over railway 'push'

A man has appeared in court in connection with an incident where a woman was pushed off a platform on to a railway track in Kent.

Linda Buchanan, 58, was attacked after telling two men to stop smoking at Farningham Road railway station.

Ionel Rapisca, 31, of Joyce Green Lane, Dartford, is charged with causing grievous bodily harm on 6 August.

He was released on conditional bail to return to Dartford Magistrates' Court on 5 November.

The case is expected to be committed to the crown court for trial.

Ms Buchanan suffered a broken wrist in the incident.
