Two arrested after drugs seized

Two people have been arrested after police found drugs at a house in Kent.

Officers searched a home in the Murston area of Sittingbourne at around 0700 BST, seizing cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of £850.

A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply, and are currently in police custody.

A quantity of cash and a set of measuring scales were also confiscated during the raid.

"These arrests are significant in our crackdown on the street level supply of drugs in Sittingbourne, and I hope our actions today send out a clear message," a police spokesman said.
