Man admits killing of grandmother

Valerie Twyman's grandson was originally charged with her murder

A man has admitted killing his 62-year-old grandmother, whose body was found at her home on Christmas Day.

Valerie Twyman was discovered with stab wounds to her abdomen and chest after police were called to her home in Conyngham Close, Ramsgate, Kent.

Her 24-year-old grandson Maxwell Twyman was originally charged with her murder.

His plea of guilty to manslaughter was accepted by the prosecution when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday. He was remanded until 11 July.
