Three facing prison drugs charges

A prison worker is among three people charged with conspiracy to supply drugs and mobile phones at a Kent jail.

Christopher Hill, 21, from Anne Boleyn Close, Eastchurch, Isle of Sheppey appeared before Maidstone magistrates.

Also charged with supplying drugs and phones to Swaleside Prison was asbestos remover Richard Hill, 21, of Unity Street, Sheerness.

Tyrone Woolley, 27, a former inmate of Swaleside was also in court. All three were remanded in custody until 13 June.

They will make their next appearance at Maidstone Crown Court.

A fourth man held in a series of early morning arrests on Tuesday was bailed pending further inquiries.
