Fire tackled at paper warehouse

Firefighters have been tackling a huge blaze which broke out at a warehouse containing a large quantity of paper.

Crews called to Denton Wharf, in Gravesend, at 2330 BST on Wednesday found the single-storey building on fire. No-one was inside at the time.

Kent Fire and Rescue said the building was still ablaze on Thursday morning and firefighters were expected to remain at the site for most of the day.

Water is being taken from the River Thames to help bring it under control.
