Armed man takes supermarket cash

A man armed with a handgun has taken money from security guards at a supermarket cash machine.

The man entered a cash machine area at the Asda store in Sittingbourne, Kent and threatened the guards.

Kent Police, who could not confirm if the handgun was real, have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to about the raid.

The man fled in a silver Rover 400 after the raid at 1040 BST on Tuesday. It was found near Kingsmill Close.

The raider was described as a white and in his mid-40s, with a black moustache and beard.

He wore dark trousers, a pale blue shirt with white collar and cuffs, a blue sleeveless fleece, and a motorcycle helmet with a white stripe.
