Community groups granted £30,000

Carers Voice works to improve conditions for carers.

Three community groups in Kent have been given grants worth £30,000.

The Pipeline Youth Initiative, Carers Voice and NCH Family Support Services received donations of £15,000, £5,000, and £10,000 respectively.

Pipeline provides youth activities in Thanet, Carers Voice supports carers throughout the UK, while NCH helps domestic abuse victims in east Kent.

The money was provided by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, which has a base at Sandwich.

A spokeswoman for Pfizer said: "These three organisations are doing a fantastic job working with people who need their support. We are delighted and proud to be supporting them."
