Body in scrubland prompts inquiry

A man's body has been found in scrubland in Kent.

The area near Beechenlea Lane, in Swanley, has been cordoned off while inquiries get under way into the cause of the man's death.

Officers were called to the scene on Sunday afternoon by a member of the public who found the body.

A spokeswoman for Kent Police said the body has been removed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

She said that the incident, which is being linked to a missing person's inquiry, is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
