Seaside arcade blaze 'was arson'

A fire that gutted a seaside amusement arcade was started deliberately, police have confirmed.

The blaze at Tivoli Entertainment in Marine Terrace, Margate, on Friday night caused £500,000 worth of damage.

A police spokesperson said two men sprayed gaming machines with petrol before setting them alight.

More than 60 firefighters were called to the incident which devastated the building. Officers are examining CCTV footage of the incident.
