Teenage abseil exploits condemned
Bouverie Place
The pair claim to have abseiled down the town's tallest buildings
Two teenagers are abseiling down some of Folkestone's tallest buildings and posting their exploits on the internet.

They claim to have abseiled down the town's Asda store, the Harbour, The Marsh Academy and Bouverie Place shopping centre.

Kent Police have condemned their actions as "dangerous stunts" and said any behaviour where people put their lives at risk should be discouraged.

A spokesman said police would act if any criminal offences took place.

Coastguard Andy Roberts said the two masked youths have "gone too far".

He said: "There are certain things you should not do in life.

Heights do not forgive

"I reckon these two guys have crossed the stupid line. They have gone too far.

"Heights do not forgive. If you fall from a great height, you won't be grieving but your family will."

The youngsters, who go by the name of the Thrillseekers, post their footage on YouTube.

In one case the footage shows them abseiling down the cliffs behind the Leas Cliff Hall 91 metres (300ft) on to rocks below, and sometimes they abseil in darkness.

The pair are being condemned by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents which fears copycat cases.
