Warning follows farm bird theft
Farmers are being urged to be vigilant after hundreds of chickens worth £1,700 were stolen from a Kent farm.

Kent Police said 460 birds were taken from a property in Boughton Monchelsea near Maidstone over the New Year.

It is believed the thieves cut a hole in two wire fence panels before stealing the chickens.

A white Ford transit van was spotted in the area at the time. Officers have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
