Care worker on second rape charge
A care worker has been charged with a second count of rape, Kent Police said.

John Mendy, 32, is currently on remand after being charged with the rape and serious sexual assault of a female patient in Canterbury in November 2007.

Mr Mendy, of Sandwich Road, Ramsgate, has now been charged with the rape of a Canterbury woman in Margate on 16 August 2007.

Kent Police said a 39-year-old woman was attacked in the early hours of the morning after a night out.

Mr Mendy is due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on 21 January.
