Stabbed grandmother 'loved life'
Valerie Twyman
The grandson of Valerie Twyman has been charged with her murder
The family of a 62-year-old Kent woman who was stabbed to death on Christmas Day have paid tribute to "a very happy, sprightly lady who loved life".

The body of Valerie Twyman was found with stab wounds to the abdomen and chest after police were called to her home in Conyngham Close, Ramsgate.

Her 24-year-old grandson has been charged with murder.

Mrs Twyman's family said she was "a much loved mother, nan, sister and friend who lived life to the full".

A statement said she would be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Mrs Twyman's grandson was arrested at another address in Ramsgate after her body was discovered just after 1300 GMT.

Maxwell Twyman, also of Conyngham Close, was remanded in custody by Dover magistrates to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 11 January.
