Police charge woman over stabbing

A 19-year-old woman has been charged with grievous bodily harm following the stabbing of a Kent woman.

The victim, also aged 19, is in a stable condition in hospital following the incident in New Road, Chatham, at 0530 GMT on Sunday.

Charlotte Shilleto, 19, of Connaught Mews, Chatham, is due to appear before magistrates in the town on Boxing Day.

A man who was arrested at a house in Luton Road after the incident has been released on police bail.

Officers cordoned off the area between Manor Road and Fort Pitt Hill, before carrying out house-to-house inquiries following the stabbing.
