Man charged with woman's murder

A man has been charged with murder after the death of a woman in a north Kent town.

Officers charged Steven Stallion, 45, from Sheridan Court, Temple Hill, Dartford, on Tuesday night.

He appeared before magistrates in the town on Wednesday, was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on 7 November.

The body of the woman was found early on Saturday. A post-mortem examination revealed she died from a head injury.
