Police have charged a man with the murder of a prison literacy teacher whose body was found in the car park of the jail where she worked.

Keith Prest was arrested on 14 September on suspicion of murdering 48-year-old Louise Evans, from Hothfield, near Ashford.

Her body was found in the grounds of East Sutton Park open prison in Kent.

A Kent Police spokesman said the accused, 48, would appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
